A major Facebook redesign is coming! The social networking giant is rolling out a desktop redesign to all users.
The updated design, announced last April, posses a less cluttered look and brighter icons. The company said the blue menu bar that has been part of the site ever since its launch will be replaced by a cleaner interface.
As of now, only selected users can access the feature and will be available broadly sometime before the spring.
The ‘big blue app’ is getting a simple, faster and a fresh look. Here are the key changes on the way:
- Dark mode & light mode options
- Clean design with 3 columns instead of 4
- Facebook Stories front and centre
- Mobile app-like navigation menu
Facebook’s intention with the update is to bring the desktop version more in line with the mobile app.
“Overall, we’ve made it easier to find what you’re looking for and get to your most-used features,” the company said.
